SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37
       WHEREAS, Sujana Ganganamani participated in the National
Rural Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action
Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2023; and
 
       WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the
Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Ms. Ganganamani joined some
1,500 students from around the country for an all-expenses-paid
trip to the nation's capital; over the course of the program, she
learned about U.S. history and government, met with local
political representatives, and toured various historic sites,
such as Capitol Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington
National Cemetery; and
 
       WHEREAS, A senior at McNeil High School in the Round Rock
Independent School District, this bright young Texan plans to
study either business or information science in college; and
 
       WHEREAS, Sujana Ganganamani has distinguished herself as a
young leader of great promise, and she may indeed take
justifiable pride in participating in this exciting experience;
now, therefore, be it
 
       RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sujana
Ganganamani on taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric
Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ganganamani as an expression of high regard by
the Texas Senate.
