	H.R.  No.  41

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Brooke Stewart of Victory Christian Academy in
	Decatur was honored as a 2023 Christian Teacher of the Year by the
	Herzog Foundation at its awards gala in Washington, D.C., on
	September 30; and
	WHEREAS, The Christian Teacher of the Year accolade is part
	of the Herzog Foundation's Excellence in Christian Education award
	series; it is presented to 12 educators from across the nation who
	have demonstrated the highest standards of excellence and
	innovation in teaching students in kindergarten through the 12th
	grade at traditional, hybrid, and micro Christian schools; named
	for the late philanthropist and businessman Stanley M. Herzog, the
	foundation is committed to accelerating the development of quality
	Christian education; and
	WHEREAS, An agriculture science teacher, Ms.  Stewart started
	the ag program at Victory Christian Academy four years ago; under
	her leadership, it has grown from one class to a full K-12 program;
	and
	WHEREAS, Through her exceptional dedication, Brooke Stewart
	is helping provide young Texans with a strong foundation on which to
	build, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
	Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Brooke
	Stewart on her selection as a 2023 Christian Teacher of the Year by
	the Herzog Foundation and extend to her sincere best wishes for
	continued success with her important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Ms.  Stewart as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
