H.R. No. 1326
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
passing of Gloria Neumann Poole on February 20, 2023, at the age of
85; and
       WHEREAS, The daughter of G. F. and Lillie Neumann, the former
Gloria Neumann was born in Marlin on December 27, 1937, and she grew
up with the companionship of three siblings, James, Glenn, and
Gladys; she graduated from Texas Christian University in 1960; and
       WHEREAS, Mrs. Poole shared a rewarding marriage with her
husband, Donald, until his passing, and she took great pride in
their sons, Donald and Bradley; over the years, she had the pleasure
of welcoming into her family four beloved grandchildren, Taylor,
Carsyn, Kinsley, and Hudson; and
       WHEREAS, A dedicated educator, Mrs. Poole specialized in
Reading Recovery, a program that provides supplemental instruction
to young children who are learning to read and write; she was also
sustained by her strong faith, and she was an active member of her
church, where she contributed to Sunday school and Bible study
groups; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed reading, spending time
with friends, and cheering on her grandchildren at sports games;
she further distinguished herself as a social director at tailgate
events; and
       WHEREAS, Admired for her kindness, wisdom, and generous
nature, Gloria Poole brightened the world for all who knew her, and
they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be
it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Gloria Neumann
Poole and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to
her sons, Donald Wesley Poole and his wife, Wendy, and Bradley
Wilson Poole and his wife, Rhonda; to her grandchildren, Taylor and
her husband, Tyler, Carsyn, Kinsley, and Hudson; to her sister,
Gladys Steinmann, and her husband, Bob; and to her other relatives
and many friends; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gloria
Poole.
