House Joint Resolution 1291 honors Coach Johnny Morgan on the occasion of his retirement after an illustrious 47-year career at Central High School of McMinn County. Throughout his tenure, Coach Morgan has achieved remarkable success, including over 1,100 victories, making him one of only three girls' basketball coaches in TSSAA history to reach the milestone of 1,000 wins. Under his leadership, the Chargerettes not only secured the school's first state championship in 2011 but also made seventeen appearances in the state tournament, achieving runner-up status multiple times.
