House Joint Resolution 1251, sponsored by Representative Doggett, honors the Richland High School Cheerleading Team for their exceptional achievements and dedication to teamwork. The team has had a remarkable year, winning the Space Center and Smoky Mountain Regional traditional cheerleading championships, placing ninth at the 2026 National High School Cheerleading Championship, and finishing as runner-up at the 2025 Super Varsity Nontumbling Gameday State competition. Their spirited support contributed to the success of various athletic teams at Richland High School, including the football team, which reached the quarterfinals, and the girls' basketball team, which won the TSSAA Division I, Class 1A State Championship.

The resolution also recognizes the hard work and sportsmanship displayed by the cheerleaders, as well as the invaluable guidance provided by their coaches, Beth Hall and Holly Gibson. The General Assembly commends the team for their commitment to excellence and wishes them continued success in the future. An appropriate copy of the resolution will be prepared for presentation, acknowledging the team's accomplishments and the positive representation they bring to the state of Tennessee.
