Senate Joint Resolution 993, sponsored by Haile, recognizes Jeremiah James for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America. Jeremiah began his Scouting journey in first grade and has successfully advanced through all ranks, earning thirty-nine merit badges in various skills, including first aid, cooking, and engineering. He served as Senior Patrol Leader in Troop 425 and demonstrated leadership and commitment to community service.

For his Eagle project, Jeremiah designed and oversaw the construction of a gaga ball pit for Shafer Middle School, raising over $1,000 and dedicating 109 hours of volunteer service to the project. This initiative not only provided a safe recreational space for students but also exemplified the spirit of volunteerism.
