Senate Joint Resolution 703 honors Jennifer Wackerhagen for her remarkable contributions to the United Way of Blount County and the State of Tennessee over the past twenty-five years. A graduate of Alcoa High School and the University of Tennessee, Wackerhagen began her career with United Way in 2001 and has since held various leadership positions, culminating in her role as President and CEO in 2013. Under her leadership, the organization has raised over $50 million, significantly impacting the community by strengthening nonprofits and providing essential services to over 750,000 individuals in need.

In addition to her professional achievements, Wackerhagen has been actively involved in her community through various boards and organizations, including the Leadership Blount Board and the Blount Chamber of Commerce.
