This bill codifies a list of training requirements and opportunities in state law for educators, school personnel, and volunteers at LEAs and public charter schools. This bill changes the frequency at which the following types of training are required from annual to triennial: (1) De-escalation training for teachers, administrators, and other school personnel; (2) The child abuse training program for all school officials and employees working directly with students; and (3) Training for teachers and counselors on the employing LEA's policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation, bullying, or cyberbullying.
