His extensive background includes serving as policy and research counsel for the Tennessee House of Representatives and as political director for the Tennessee Republican Party. Additionally, he has held elected positions on the Sumner County school board and in the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 45th District from 1988 to 1998.
