House Joint Resolution 671 honors Blair Baugus, a student athlete from Wayne County High School, for being named TSSAA Class 1A Miss Basketball for the 2024-2025 season. The resolution highlights her exceptional performance on the basketball court, where she has become the leading scorer in WCHS history with 2,539 points, and has contributed to her team's impressive record of 132 wins against only 13 losses. In addition to her athletic achievements, Baugus has maintained a strong academic record, ranking ninth in her class with a GPA of 97.7, and is set to graduate with honors in May 2025.
