House Joint Resolution 634 recognizes Rheubin McGhee Taylor for his exceptional service as the Hamilton County Attorney upon his retirement after over thirty years in the role. Mr. Taylor, a graduate of Howard University School of Law, began his legal career in Hamilton County and was appointed as County Attorney in 1993. Throughout his tenure, he has provided invaluable legal counsel to the county government and has been actively involved in public service, including serving on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners and participating in the Tennessee Limited Constitutional Convention.

In addition to his legal and public service contributions, Mr. Taylor has been a dedicated community member, serving as the pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church since 1995 and engaging in various civic and charitable organizations. He is celebrated for his commitment to improving the quality of life for his fellow citizens and is supported by his family, including his wife Joyce and their children and grandchildren. The resolution honors his legacy and wishes him continued success and happiness in his retirement.
