Senate Resolution 127, sponsored by Walley, honors Jasper Clark for winning first place in the 2025 National Civics Bee Lawrence County Finals. This achievement, which took place on March 14, 2025, at the Southern Tennessee Higher Education Center, marks Jasper's second consecutive victory in this competition. The National Civics Bee aims to engage young people in civics and encourage them to take an active role in their communities. Out of over 220 essay submissions addressing community issues, Jasper was one of twenty middle school finalists who showcased their civics knowledge in a live quiz event.

As a student at Summertown Middle School, Jasper is recognized for his academic excellence and commitment to becoming a responsible citizen. His victory in the Lawrence County Finals qualifies him to compete in the Tennessee State Finals in June. The resolution expresses pride in Jasper's accomplishments and commends his dedication to excellence, wishing him continued success and happiness in the future.
