House Joint Resolution 370, sponsored by Howell, honors the Copper Basin High School Lady Cougars basketball team for their remarkable achievement of winning their second consecutive District 5 tournament and securing a spot in the Class A state tournament. The resolution highlights the team's impressive performance throughout the season, including a decisive victory over CSLA in the semi-finals and a thrilling overtime win against their rivals, the Sale Creek Lady Panthers, in the championship game. The Lady Cougars continued their success by winning the Class A East regional competition and ultimately earning a place in the state tournament with a final season record of 18-9.

The resolution also recognizes the contributions of key players, particularly junior Alexis Hyatt, who has scored over 1,000 points in her high school career, as well as the support from coaches Jeff Grimes and Rusty Boggs, families, fans, and the community.
