Senate Joint Resolution 203, sponsored by Senator Oliver, honors Dr. Tracey Morant Adams, the South Eastern Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in recognition of AKA Day at the Capitol on March 26, 2025. This event will bring together sorority members from across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama to engage in work sessions addressing critical issues such as maternal health, Black youth mental health, and suicide prevention, which are part of the sorority's 2025 Legislative Agenda. Dr. Morant Adams, an active member since 1985, has held various leadership roles within the sorority and is recognized for her commitment to community service and humanitarian efforts.

In addition to her contributions to Alpha Kappa Alpha, Dr. Morant Adams serves as the Chief Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for Renasant Bank and is involved in numerous civic organizations, including the Talladega College Board of Trustees and The Women's Foundation of Alabama. Her achievements have garnered recognition from various organizations, including the NAACP and Savoy magazine. The resolution expresses gratitude for her service and the contributions of the sorority, extending best wishes for their continued success as they gather at the Capitol.
