ON MARCH 30, 2009, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #2 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 619, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #2 clarifies that registration plates will still be required to include an abbreviation of the word "Tennessee" in addition to the language "www.tnvacation.com" or the domain name of any subsequent Web site used by the department of tourist development. This amendment also limits the application of this bill to registration plates that are created after July 1, 2009. ON APRIL 5, 2010, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 619 FOR HOUSE BILL 920, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #2, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 619, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #2 excludes special license plates from this bill.
