House Joint Resolution 81 honors Abigail Whicker, a senior at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, for her outstanding achievements as the state winner of the 2024 American Legion Department of Tennessee Oratorical Contest. Abigail has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, having previously won multiple oratorical contests at the district, division, and state levels in both 2023 and 2024. In addition to her oratory skills, she is actively involved in various arts programs, community service initiatives, and leadership roles, including serving as president of her school's National Honor Society and the Middle Tennessee Ag Academy FFA Chapter.

The resolution highlights Abigail's commitment to public speaking, which she developed through her participation in FFA, where she also excelled in competitive events such as horse evaluation.
