In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Davis has been a passionate advocate for individuals with auditory and linguistic difficulties, serving as a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for 45 years. Her leadership roles at the University of Alabama included participation in the Faculty Senate and the Promotion and Tenure Committee, as well as serving as the faculty advisor to the NAACP, reflecting her commitment to racial equality. The resolution expresses admiration for Dr. Davis's wisdom, integrity, and enthusiasm for life, extending best wishes for her continued happiness as she celebrates this significant milestone.
