Senate Joint Resolution 36, sponsored by Senator Pody, honors Robert Andrew Huddleston of Wilson County for his significant contributions to his community and his lifelong dedication to ministry and missionary work. A native of Wilson County, Huddleston graduated from Lebanon High School and pursued studies in electrical engineering before transitioning to a career in ministry at Union University. He began his missionary work in 1977 with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), where he served for forty years, developing programs to support faith-based organizations and teaching biblical financial principles both nationally and internationally.
Currently, Huddleston is the founder and president of Mission Enablers International, which supports missionaries and ministries, and he also leads the Tennessee nonprofit Kenya Islands Mission. He is a devoted family man, married for fifty years with seven children and nineteen grandchildren. His memoir, "White Knuckle Faith," chronicles his family's journey in Central America. The resolution acknowledges Huddleston's exemplary service and commitment to the State of Tennessee and its citizens, extending best wishes for his continued success.
