House Joint Resolution 55, sponsored by Lamberth, honors Larry Riggsbee of Sumner County for his exceptional service to the children of Tennessee through his role as the Transportation Director for Sumner County Schools for over thirty years. Under his leadership, Riggsbee maintained an outstanding safety record, ensuring that no child was hospitalized or fatally injured during his tenure. He is also recognized for founding the Tennessee Association of Pupil Transportation in 1982 and continues to serve as its executive director.

In recognition of his contributions to pupil transportation, Riggsbee was inducted into the National Association of Pupil Transportation Hall of Fame in October 2024, becoming only the second Tennessean to receive this honor. The resolution expresses the General Assembly's appreciation for his dedication to the safe transport of students and commends him for his distinguished career in the pupil transportation industry.
