Established in 1955, the TNFRW has played a crucial role in organizing and electing Republicans, with its first president, Alice Elder, paving the way for women's political engagement in the state. Currently led by President Sharon Boreing, the TNFRW continues to strengthen its collaboration with the Tennessee Republican Party, as evidenced by recent developments that grant its president and club leaders voting rights within the party's administrative structure.

The resolution also notes that members of the TNFRW will gather for a special event, Ladies Day on the Hill, on April 14, 2025, to celebrate this milestone.
