SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1625

A RESOLUTION to recognize Tyler Martin upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
WHEREAS, at a time when this nation's youth face difficult challenges, the Boy Scouts of America is one of our finest assets, providing young men and women with an educational program that contributes significantly to their character development, citizenship training, and improved mental and physical fitness; and WHEREAS, the highest rank a Scout can attain in the Boy Scouts of America Scouts BSA program is that of Eagle Scout, and Tyler Martin, after considerable effort and diligent preparation, will join the prestigious Eagle Court of Honor on May 5, 2024; and WHEREAS, a freshman at Skyuka Hall, Mr. Martin has demonstrated considerable ability as a leader among his peers; and WHEREAS, his notable record of achievement as a member of Boy Scout Troop 82 of the Cherokee Area Council, BSA, includes numerous merit badges and distinguished service;
and WHEREAS, Mr. Martin's Eagle project greatly contributed to the betterment of his community and reflected the true spirit of volunteerism; and WHEREAS, for his project, he organized and oversaw the building of a gaga ball pit and the improvement of Harrison United Methodist Church's outdoor worship space; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we should pause to recognize Tyler Martin as one of
the most outstanding young people in our State; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF

REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and congratulate Tyler Martin on
becoming an Eagle Scout and extend to him our best wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
