                                HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1474

                                A RESOLUTION to recognize Sherry Lynch upon the occasion of
                                             her retirement.
        WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
specially recognize those estimable public servants who have dedicated themselves to
improving the quality of life for their fellow citizens; and WHEREAS, Sherry Lynch of Dickson is one such admirable person, who evinces the greatest integrity and probity in all her chosen endeavors; and WHEREAS, Ms. Lynch has estimably served as the executive director of the Housing Authority in Dickson for the past several years and will be taking her much-deserved retirement in 2024; and WHEREAS, throughout her exemplary forty-six-year tenure with the Dickson Housing Authority, Ms. Lynch has carried out her responsibilities with diligence and integrity; and WHEREAS, her remarkable success as a public servant and civic leader is directly attributable to her reliance on the time-honored values of hard work and common sense and her uncommon ability to work well with people from all walks of life; and WHEREAS, a strong advocate for the citizens of Dickson, Sherry Lynch has compiled a singular record of success during her exemplary public service career, and she should be
specially recognized; now, therefore,
        BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
THIRTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Sherry Lynch for her honorable and astute service to
the people of Tennessee as executive director of the Housing Authority in Dickson, extending HJR1474

our heartfelt wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement and every continued success in her future endeavors.
       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
