HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1454

A RESOLUTION to commend Rose Patricia Kores for exemplary service as a legislative intern.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Rose Patricia Kores is one such individual who has distinguished herself in
her role as a legislative intern for Representative Bud Hulsey; her work has resulted in
innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, originally from Palm City, Florida, Ms. Kores is now a student at Belmont University, where she is highly regarded by her peers; and WHEREAS, Ms. Kores has achieved academic success while double majoring in
political science and Spanish with a minor in psychology and participating in numerous extracurricular activities such as the Belmont University Varsity Speech and Debate Team and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, as well as serving as president of Belmont University's Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature delegation and diversity, equity, and inclusion chair of Psychology Club; and WHEREAS, her noteworthy achievements have been celebrated by her status as a Belmont University Honors Program student, an Archer Presidential Scholar, and a Youth Congressional Award Recipient; such accomplishments are a tremendous source of pride for her parents, Susan and Allan Kores, her school, and her community; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Rose Kores brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2024 session of the One Hundred Thirteenth General Assembly; and HJR1454

WHEREAS, throughout the 2024 legislative session, Ms. Kores has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern, and she has been a valuable asset to Chairman Hulsey's office; and WHEREAS, Rose Kores has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
THIRTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Rose Patricia Kores for outstanding service as a legislative intern for Representative Bud Hulsey and extend to her our best wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
