HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1448

A RESOLUTION to commend Anna Gordon for exemplary service as a legislative intern.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, we are pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Anna Gordon is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in her role as a legislative intern for Representative Sam McKenzie and Representative Gloria Johnson; Ms. Gordon's work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, a Houston, Texas, native and a graduate of Belmont University, Anna Gordon is currently a student at the University of Tennessee (UT) College of Social Work,
where she has achieved academic success while pursuing a Master of Science degree in Social Work and participating in numerous extracurricular activities; she has been recognized by UT
for her excellent work as a graduate student, and she received the NASW-TN Middle Branch MSW Student of the Year Award; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Ms. Gordon brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2024 session of the One Hundred Thirteenth General Assembly; and WHEREAS, throughout the 2024 legislative session, Anna Gordon has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and WHEREAS, Ms. Gordon has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore,
