A RESOLUTION to commend Jayla Fitzgerald for exemplary service as a legislative intern.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, we are pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Jayla Fitzgerald is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in her role as a legislative intern for Representative Sabi Kumar; Ms. Fitzgerald's work has resulted in
innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, a junior at Middle Tennessee State University, where she is highly regarded by her peers, Jayla Fitzgerald has achieved academic success while majoring in Africana studies with minors in communication and political and civil engagement and participating in
numerous extracurricular activities; and WHEREAS, upon graduation in 2025, she plans to pursue a master's degree in public policy; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Ms. Fitzgerald brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2024 session of the One Hundred Thirteenth General Assembly; and WHEREAS, throughout the 2024 legislative session, Ms. Fitzgerald has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and WHEREAS, Jayla Fitzgerald has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
THIRTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Jayla Fitzgerald for outstanding service as a legislative intern for Representative Sabi Kumar and extend to her our best wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
