A RESOLUTION to recognize John English upon his receipt of the Educator of the Year Award.
WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should specially recognize those estimable Tennesseans who endeavor to enhance the quality of life in their communities; and WHEREAS, one such individual is John English, Director of Schools for Unicoi County,
who recently received the Educator of the Year Award; and WHEREAS, this prestigious honor was presented at the Unicoi County Chamber of
Commerce Annual Awards Banquet on March 7, 2024; and WHEREAS, throughout his career in education, Director of Schools John English has served as a teacher, coach, and principal; he epitomizes the ideal educator who is wholly committed to providing the highest quality education for the students of Tennessee; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we specially recognize such an extraordinary educator and his service to the youth of Tennessee; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and commend John English upon his receipt of the Educator of the Year Award.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
