SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1466

A RESOLUTION to honor the Tusculum University women's golf team upon winning the Agnes McAmis Memorial.
WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should salute those student athletes who, through their extraordinary efforts, have distinguished themselves as true champions of whom we can all be
proud; and WHEREAS, one such exemplary group of young athletes is the Tusculum University Pioneers women's golf team, whose members have proven themselves to be the fiercest of
competitors and truly worthy of admiration by winning the prestigious Agnes McAmis Memorial for the ninth time in school history; and WHEREAS, in posting a final round of 312, the Pioneers rallied to win the tournament by
14 shots; and WHEREAS, 2024 marks the ninth time Tusculum has won the McAmis Memorial since the inaugural event in 1998, having previously raised the championship trophy in 1998, 1999,
2000, 2012, 2013, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023; and WHEREAS, in the final round of the McAmis Memorial, Tusculum's Reagan Padilla matched the medalist's score of 75, while her partner, Lindsay Self, carded a career-low 76; and WHEREAS, Reagan Padilla recorded her sixth top-five finish of the season and the seventh of her career at Tusculum; and WHEREAS, the members of the Tusculum University women's golf team epitomize all that is good in today's student athletes, as they have achieved a premier level of success in
competition while exhibiting the highest degree of character in all aspects of life; and SJR1466

WHEREAS, the members of the Tusculum University women's golf team have truly distinguished themselves by winning the McAmis Memorial, and they are richly deserving of our approbation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and commend the members and coaches of the Tusculum University women's golf team upon winning the Agnes McAmis Memorial for the ninth time in school history and extend to them our best wishes for every continued success in all their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
