Senate Joint Resolution 1442, sponsored by Southerland, honors Addison Woods for her outstanding achievement in placing third in the Senior Group Website category at the twenty-third annual East Tennessee History Day contest. Alongside her teammate Christian Rymer, Woods presented a project titled "Apollo 11: The Landing that Changed America" at the event held on February 29, 2024, at the University of Tennessee Student Union. The contest featured 167 students from seven counties, showcasing 97 projects that revolved around the theme "Turning Points in History."

The resolution recognizes Woods as an exceptional student from Cosby High School and commends her dedication to excellence, which reflects positively on her family, school, and community.
