SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1419

A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate the Henry County High School Madrigals upon their success at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival.
WHEREAS, we are pleased to recognize and commend those successful high school artists who, through their natural talents and extraordinary efforts, bring the joys of creative expression and culture to the citizens of this State while promoting the importance of the performing arts; and WHEREAS, one such estimable group is the Henry County High School Madrigals,
performers of extraordinary talent, skill, and dedication, who have proven themselves as
exceptional vocalists; and WHEREAS, the Madrigals recently competed at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival in
Orlando, Florida, and brought home the Gold Award and the Outstanding Choral Group Award;
and WHEREAS, under the profound leadership of Deanna Cook, the Madrigals received near-perfect ratings from the judges and the highest overall score among competing choral groups; and WHEREAS, additionally, the Madrigals received invitations to the prestigious Festival of
Gold and the Carnegie Series next year; and WHEREAS, the Henry County High School Madrigals epitomize all that is good in
today's student artists, as they have achieved a high level of success in music while evincing great character both on and off the stage; and SJR1419

WHEREAS, the Madrigals' notable achievements are a source of great pride for their families, their community, and their school, and it is appropriate that we recognize these accomplished artists; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate the Henry County High School Madrigals upon their success at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival, wishing them much success and happiness in their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
