SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1409

A RESOLUTION to recognize Allen Fagan on the occasion of his retirement.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we should honor those citizens who have performed with uncommon devotion and enthusiasm in securing the safety of their community; and WHEREAS, Allen Fagan is one such estimable individual, who, following twenty-three years of devoted service to the Franklin Fire Department, will take his much-deserved retirement from his post as engineer, drawing an end to his forty-three-year career as a firefighter; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fagan is a native of East Tennessee, and he began his illustrious firefighting career as a member of the United States Navy, which he served from 1979 to 1989;
and WHEREAS, Allen Fagan has performed his duties with professionalism and integrity,
helping his fellow citizens in any way that he could and proving himself time and again to be a tremendous asset to the City of Franklin; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fagan exemplifies the spirit and allegiance to family and community that are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and WHEREAS, throughout his career, Allen Fagan has demonstrated the utmost professionalism, ability, and integrity, winning the respect and admiration of his fellow firefighters and the residents of Franklin; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and commend Allen Fagan on his exemplary career with the Franklin Fire Department and extend to him our best wishes for much continued success and happiness during his retirement.
