SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1408

A RESOLUTION to honor and commend Team 7525, the Pioneers Robotics Team.
WHEREAS, this General Assembly is pleased to recognize those outstanding and gifted students of our State who bring honor to Tennessee as members of academic teams and who act as ambassadors for our State through successful academic competition; and WHEREAS, the members and coaches of Team 7525, the Pioneers Robotics Team, are especially deserving of acclaim, having recently met with great success at the Buckeye Regionals in Cleveland, Ohio, and qualifying for the world competition in Houston, Texas, to be
held April 17-20, 2024; and WHEREAS, in Ohio, the Pioneers competed against a field of fifty-three teams to rank amongst the top eight teams and win the prestigious Engineering Inspiration Award, which led the team to become the top team in Tennessee while also ranking amongst the top eight percent of teams in the world; and WHEREAS, the hard work and dedication of the team have been evident throughout the year at every level of competition and surely bode well for their future competitive endeavors later this year; and WHEREAS, the noteworthy achievement of the members of the Pioneers is a tremendous source of pride for their community and the State of Tennessee; and WHEREAS, the robotics team members' dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of
the respect, admiration, and commendation of this General Assembly; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and commend the members and coaches SJR1408

of Team 7525, the Pioneers Robotics Team, and wish them much continued success as they compete in the World Robotics Competition in Houston, Texas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
