By Rose AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38
and Title 39, relative to firearms.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-1350(d), is amended by
adding the following as a new subdivision:
(5) For purposes of this section, "law enforcement officer" also means a retired law enforcement officer carrying pursuant to §§ 38-8-116 and 39-17-1315.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect October 1, 2023, the public welfare requiring it.
