By Southerland AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 57,
Chapter 4, relative to special occasion licenses.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 57-4-101, is amended by designating subsection (g) as subdivision (g)(1) and adding the following new subdivision (g)(2):
(2) Notwithstanding subdivision (g)(1) to the contrary, a special occasion license may be issued in a jurisdiction wherein the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises has not been approved pursuant to § 57-4-103, with written approval to
hold an event by and in such jurisdiction that is signed by the executive officer or chair of
the legislative body of such jurisdiction.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
