This bill permits a retail licensee to sell at retail items related to or incidental to the use, consumption, dispensing or storage of alcoholic beverages, together with merchandise and supplies related to special events or parties, including any hemp-based product for which all required licenses, permits, or certificates have been obtained authorizing the sale of such product within this state.
This bill provides that the law relevant to the local option regarding traffic in intoxicating liquors does not authorize a retail package store to charge any money or fee, directly or indirectly, for the provision of alcoholic beverages or beer for consumption on the premises.
Present law authorizes retailers licensed under existing law, for a fee or without a fee, to provide, within the state, consulting services related to alcoholic beverages and to the products, merchandise, and supplies that the retailer is authorized to sell, and may supply, sell, deliver, and install products authorized to be sold by the retailer to locations outside of the licensed premises. The bill rewrites the present law to no longer authorize retailers licensed under existing law, for a fee or without a fee, to provide, within the state, consulting services related to alcoholic beverages and to the products, merchandise, and supplies that the retailer is authorized to sell.
This bill authorizes an entity that holds a beer permit issued under the law relevant to the local option regarding traffic in intoxicating liquors to sell at retail any hemp-based product for which all required licenses, permits, or certificates have been obtained authorizing the sale of such product within this state.
