ON FEBRUARY 22, 2024, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 1716, AS AMENDED.
AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that (i) this bill applies in a county with more than one general sessions judge in which the judicial commissioners are supervised by the general sessions judges, and (ii) the rotation is amongst general sessions judges having criminal jurisdiction in the county.
