Senate Joint Resolution 7080, sponsored by Pody, honors Sergeant Major Jason Glaskox for being recognized as the 2022-2023 National Young Marine of the Year. This prestigious title is awarded to a youth member of the Young Marines, a national program aimed at instilling values of leadership, citizenship, self-discipline, and a healthy lifestyle in young individuals. Throughout his tenure as National Young Marine of the Year, Glaskox served as an ambassador for the program, motivating and assisting fellow Young Marines across the country while also engaging in community service and veterans affairs.

In addition to his achievements within the Young Marines, Glaskox has excelled academically and athletically, being an honor graduate of the Young Marines Senior Leadership School and a talented basketball player. He has aspirations to attend the United States Naval Academy and pursue a career as a Marine Corps officer and pilot. The resolution expresses the General Assembly's recognition of Glaskox's accomplishments and wishes him continued success in his future endeavors.
