SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 7077

A RESOLUTION to honor Bobbie Patray for her many years of
service to the people of Tennessee.
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly salute those citizens who, through their extraordinary efforts, have distinguished themselves as community leaders of
whom we can all be proud; and WHEREAS, one such noteworthy individual is Bobbie Patray, who has devoted many years of diligent and capable service to her community, the State of Tennessee, and the Republican Party; and WHEREAS, born in Goodlettsville, Ms. Patray is a graduate of Bradford High School in
Starke, Florida; she has represented the Tennessee Eagle Forum at the General Assembly since 1987; and WHEREAS, known as a strong woman who watches over the land much like Deborah from the Bible, Ms. Patray has been very active in politics and often takes part in fundraising events in support of the Republican Party; and WHEREAS, throughout the years, Ms. Patray has served on a number of boards,
committees, and organizations promoting pro-life, pro-family public policies and has received several awards along the way; and WHEREAS, she enjoyed sixty-three years of marriage with the love of her life, Ron Patray, until his passing in 2022; she is the proud mother of Sherri and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother; and WHEREAS, through her estimable community involvement, Bobbie Patray has epitomized the spirit and commitment that are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and SJR7077

WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that the members of this General Assembly acknowledge and applaud Ms. Patray for her dedication to Tennessee and its citizens; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we commend Bobbie Patray for her many years of
astute service to her community, the State of Tennessee, and the Republican Party, extending our best wishes for continued success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
