SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 7027

A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Landon Brown of
South Greene Middle School on his third-place finish in the TMSAA Class A Track and Field State Championship.
WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly are pleased to recognize and commend those successful middle school athletes who, through their magnificent exploits, bring honor to Tennessee and serve as exceptional ambassadors of this State; and WHEREAS, one such estimable individual is Landon Brown of South Greene Middle School, an athlete of extraordinary talent, skill, and dedication, who has proven himself a formidable competitor in track and field; and WHEREAS, Landon Brown recently took third place in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.82 at the 2023 Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) Class A Track and Field State Championship held at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville; and WHEREAS, Landon Brown epitomizes all that is good in today's student athlete, as he
has achieved a high level of success in sports while evincing great character both on and off the track; and WHEREAS, Mr. Brown's achievements are a source of great pride for his family, his community, and his school, and it is appropriate that we recognize this accomplished athlete;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and congratulate Landon Brown on his third-place finish in the TMSAA Class A Track and Field State Championship, wishing him much success and happiness in his future endeavors.
