                              SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 7013

                              A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Austin Beets of
                                           Greeneville High School on being named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's Class
                                           2A All-State soccer team.
        WHEREAS, we are pleased to recognize and commend those successful high school athletes who, through their magnificent exploits, bring honor to Tennessee and serve as
exceptional ambassadors of this State; and WHEREAS, one such estimable individual is Austin Beets of Greeneville High School,
an athlete of extraordinary talent, skill, and dedication, who has proven himself a formidable competitor on the soccer field; and WHEREAS, Mr. Beets was recently named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's Class 2A All-State soccer team in recognition of his excellence on the field this season for the Greeneville Greene Devils; and WHEREAS, a junior forward, Austin Beets finished the season with fourteen goals and ten assists; as a whole, the Greene Devils capped a sixteen-match unbeaten streak with a runner-up finish in the state championship and earned a record of 20-1-5, the fewest season losses for any soccer team in Greeneville High School history; and WHEREAS, Mr. Beets epitomizes all that is good in today's student athlete, as he has achieved a high level of success in sports while evincing great character both on and off the field; and WHEREAS, Austin Beets's notable achievement is a source of great pride for his family,
his community, and his school, and it is appropriate that we recognize this accomplished athlete; now, therefore,

       BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Austin Beets of
Greeneville High School on being named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's Class
2A All-State soccer team, wishing him much success and happiness in his future endeavors.
       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
