House Joint Resolution 7014, sponsored by Hardaway, recognizes and commends Beverly "Bev" Elaine Johnson of Memphis for her significant contributions to the community and her distinguished career in broadcasting. Born in Memphis and a graduate of Rust College and Jackson State University, Ms. Johnson has dedicated over four decades to radio, notably hosting "The Bev Johnson Show." Her extensive involvement in various organizations, including the NAACP and the Rock N Soul Museum, highlights her commitment to community service and mentorship.

In addition to her broadcasting achievements, Ms. Johnson has received numerous accolades, including the National Black Programmers Coalition's News/Public Affairs Director award and induction into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. She is also a dedicated educator, teaching speech and English at Southwest Tennessee Community College for over thirty years. The resolution honors her selfless service and contributions, wishing her continued success and happiness in her future endeavors.
