                                         HOUSE BILL 1708
                                           By Lamberth AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2 and Title 17, relative to campaign activities of judicial candidates.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
       SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, Chapter 10, Part 3, is amended by
adding the following as a new section:
              Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a judicial candidate may personally solicit and accept campaign contributions.
       SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
