This bill appropriates $825,000 from the general fund to the Department of Transportation for grants and loans aimed at addressing future ridership demands for public transit. The Transportation Commission is tasked with approving the expenditure and disbursement of these funds, which can be utilized for matching federal funds, planning, development, and operation of public transit, as well as the construction and maintenance of transit facilities.
