An Act to prohibit the use of drones for purposes of assessing real property for taxation, and to provide a penalty therefor.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 10-6:

A director, or a director's deputy, may not use a drone, or any information acquired thereby, in the assessment of real property in this state.

A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
