The bill amends Section 40-36-46 of South Dakota law to expand the policy advisory committee for animal damage control. The committee will now include representatives from various agricultural and wildlife organizations, specifically the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association, South Dakota Farm Bureau, South Dakota Farmers Union, South Dakota Landowner and Outfitter Alliance, South Dakota Sheep Growers Association, South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, South Dakota Wildlife Federation, and the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service - Wildlife Services.

The primary function of this committee is to review animal damage control activities and provide recommendations for managing animal damage within the state. The committee is required to meet at least once a year to fulfill its advisory role. This expansion aims to enhance collaboration among stakeholders involved in animal damage control and ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing related issues in South Dakota.
