A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Celebrating the scoring of 1000 points by Justin "Cash" Albers.

WHEREAS, Justin "Cash" Albers, the great-grandson of Governor Walter D. Miller, was born on November 10, 2005, and raised on the Miller ranch near New Underwood, South Dakota; and

WHEREAS, under the watchful eye of his parents, Josh and Katie Albers, "Cash" not only excelled as a student at New Underwood, but also served as the class president for four years, served as a member of the student council, attained membership in the National Honor Society, and participated in a variety of sports including football and track; and

WHEREAS, throughout his high school career, it was the sport of basketball that enabled "Cash" to showcase his greatest athletic abilities and on February 16, 2024, he achieved his life-long goal of scoring 1000 points as a New Underwood Tiger:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Ninth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the scoring of 1000 points by Justin "Cash" Albers, is a feat that is worthy of celebration, and a precursor of multiple achievements that are anticipated as "Cash" pursues his undergraduate studies and thereafter a degree in law.
