A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending and honoring the Harrisburg School Board on its selection as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board for 2023.

WHEREAS, the Harrisburg School Board continues to strengthen community relations and foster collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in the school district; and

WHEREAS, the Harrisburg School Board retains a high percentage of staff members by creating a supportive culture and environment; and

WHEREAS, the Harrisburg School Board has faced unprecedented growth and rapidly changing student demographics, while guaranteeing that viable curriculum opportunities will be made available and accessible to all students in the district; and

WHEREAS, the Harrisburg School Board strives for the district to meet all students where they are in their academic journey to ensure their success while in the district and beyond:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Ninth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that the Harrisburg School Board is honored for being chosen as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board for 2023 and is commended for representing South Dakota's commitment to supporting quality education and enhancing educational opportunities for K-12 students in South Dakota.
