An Act to require legislative approval for the purchase of real property by the Department of Game, Fish and Parks.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 41-4:

The Department of Game, Fish and Parks may not purchase any real property without first obtaining approval from the Legislature. When the Legislature is not in session, approval to purchase land pursuant to this section may be approved by the Executive Board of the Legislature.
