An Act to provide for the study of long-term care services and to provide an appropriation therefor.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. During the 2023 interim, the state must study the challenges and difficulties faced by long-term care service providers to develop short- and long-term solutions to create a sustainable model for long-term care in South Dakota.
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of $1 to the state, for the purpose of completing the study provided in section 1 of this Act.
Section 3. The state treasurer shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.
Section 4. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter 4-8.
Section 5. This Act is effective June 26, 2023.
