An Act to modify hours of employment for children under fourteen years of age.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. That 60-12-2 be AMENDED:
60-12-2.
No
A child under
fourteen years
of age may
not
be employed at
any time in any factory,
or
workshop,
or
about any
mine,.
nor be employed in
A
child under fourteen years may not be employed in any
mercantile
commercial
establishment,
except during hours when the child's own school or other educational
program is not in session
and,
but in no case
after seven
o'clock
nine
p.m. Violation
of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
