An Act to make an appropriation to support firefighter training efforts in the state.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of $3,800,000 to the Department of Public Safety, for the purposes of providing a grant to support firefighter training efforts in the state.

Section 2. The grant resulting from the appropriation provided in section 1 of this Act shall be used to design and construct an indoor administration/classroom fire training facility building located at the South Dakota Fire Training Facility West.

Section 3. The secretary of the Department of Public Safety shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.

Section 4. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter 4-8.
